What is the InterFaith Film Festival?

The Interfaith Film Festival will showcase thought-provoking films with religious and interfaith content.  Launching in late 2009, the festival is produced by the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington (IFC) and Seltzer Film and Video.

What is the mission of the InterFaith Film Festival?

The mission of the Interfaith Film Festival is to unite people from the many faith communities in the Washington DC metropolitan area and to engage them in dialogue and discussion about issues of religious diversity and freedom through film.

What type of films will be showing at the Festival?

The Interfaith Film Festival will focus on the following themes:

Challenges to Religious Freedom

The Struggle for Peace and Reconciliation

Freedom or Oppression: Women and Religion

Filmmakers and community members will lead discussions and answer questions after film screenings.  The perspectives and issues presented in these films will be the impetus for further discussion and dialogue.

Why should you sponsor the InterFaith Film Festival?

As a 501(c)3 organization, the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington depends on donors to support its integral work.   Sponsoring the inaugural InterFaith Film Festival will give you the opportunity to support the InterFaith Conference’s effort to introduce the medium of film as a tool for achieving its goals.
